Das Wunder Gnade, o süßes Wort,
barg einen Wurm wie mich!
Ich fiel in Nacht, Licht hebt mich fort,
war blind, nun sehe ich.

Wenn Gnade Ängste mich gelehrt,
hat Gnade sie geraubt;
ein Kleinod Gnade hat beschert,

So viel Gefahren, Plagen, Ranken,

der Gnade nur hab ichʼs zu danken,
