For now is Christ risen from the dead,
the first-fruits of them that sleep.

 

Ich weiß, daß mein Erlöser lebt
und daß am Ende der Tage
er auf der Erde stehen wird.
Auch wenn Würmer diesen Leib zerfressen,
werde ich doch Gotte in meinem Fleische schauen.
Denn Christus ist erstanden von den Toten,
die Erstlingsfrucht für jene, die da schlafen.
